NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 setback against nationally-ranked Ohio Valley University on Thursday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.
The Fighting Scots dominated the first half, tallying 18 shots but only finding the back of the next twice late in the first half. A pair of goals five minutes apart in the second half extended Ohio Valley's lead before they tallied their final goal in the closing minute.
David Flores recorded two shots, one of which was on goal, while
Greg Melvin tabbed one shot on goal.
Lucas Daunhauer played the full 90 minutes in net, making 15 saves.
The Panthers return home this weekend, hosting Oakland City University in a non-conference match at 5 pm CT on Sunday.
