NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team fell in straight sets on Saturday morning to Walsh University. The Cavaliers held an impressive .456 attacking percentage in the Great Midwest victory.
The Cavs (9-7, 6-2 G-MAC) took advantage of the early start time by winning the opening set 25-13. The Panthers (9-8, 4-5 G-MAC) fell in the second frame as well, 25-16.
Wesleyan held an 8-7 lead in the third set, but Walsh won 13 of the next 16 points to take a commanding 17-11 advantage.
Mallory Sacre ended a 3-0 run with a kill, brining the Panthers to within 18-15. The Cavs would eventually take the last five points of the game to win 25-17.
Danielle Brouillette finished with seven kills.
Alex Montoya dished out 10 assists.
The Panthers return home on Friday to host Ohio Dominican University. The match is scheduled for 7 PM.
