OWENSBORO, KY. –

Game 1: Walsh 3, Kentucky Wesleyan 4 (10INN)
A solo homerun in the second inning was the only offense the Cavaliers (20-20, 9-11 G-MAC) could muster in the first five frames. The Panthers (23-24, 10-12 G-MAC) scored three times in the third to take a 3-1 lead.
Lexie Mullen tied the game with a ground-out while
Courtney Lockwood scored a pair on a triple. Lockwood hit a sinking line-drive to right, forcing a diving catch attempt that got under the glove through the defense.

The Cavs got one run closer in the sixth scoring an unearned run. In the top of the seventh Alex Depue tied the game with a lead-off solo homerun. The game marched into the 10
th where the international tie-breaker came into play. The Panthers shut the door in the top half, but had
Meredith Daunhauer place on second to start the inning.
Maddie Dawson missed on two bunt attempts to move Daunhauer to third, but ripped a hard single into centerfield to drive-in the winning run. The play at the plate was late as Wesleyan walked-off with a victory.
Hendrickson pitched the final four innings allowing just one hit while striking-out three en route to the victory. Brown completed six-plus innings allowing three runs, two earned with seven strikeouts on her way to a no-decision. Lockwood finished the game two for two with a triple and two RBIs.
Game 2: Walsh 7, Kentucky Wesleyan 6
Walsh scored four runs in the top of the first inning of the second game. The Panthers bounced back in the bottom half, cutting the deficit in half.
Jaclyn Parker connected on a RBI single while
Jaylin Tidwell drove-in another with a RBI single. Wesleyan left the bases loaded in the first inning, but continued to threaten.
The Cavaliers' lead sat at 7-2 after five innings. Parker started a two-run sixth with a RBI single that was deflected off the pitcher and into the right-side of the diamond. Mullen followed with a run scoring single into center to pull the Panthers to 7-4.
Tidwell led-off the seventh with a double and scored on Delany Mixer's RBI single to the right side. Mixer went to second on the throw home and later got to third on a wild pitch.
Jamie Tempel's groundout scored Mixer as the Panthers trimmed the deficit to 7-6. However, the rally ended after Daunhauer line-out to left.
