NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team closed out its 2018 season on Tuesday night, suffering a 3-1 loss at Trevecca Nazarene University.
The Trojans held the advantage in shots in the first half at 10-4. Neither team was able to find the back of the net, taking a scoreless to halftime.
Less than three minutes into the second half, Trevecca opened the scoring to take a 1-0 lead.
Sidney Pruitt put the Panthers on the board in the 64th minute. The senior sent a shot from the top of the box that bounced past the goalkeeper for Pruitt's first goal of the season.
Trevecca responded exactly three minutes later to take a 2-1 lead before netting their final goal in the 75th minute.
Madisyn Hunt led the Panthers with three shots while Pruitt and Natalie Hinchcliffe tallied two a piece.
Goalkeeper Brittany Johnston recorded nine saves and allowed three goals in 90 minutes of action.
