HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team fell in straight sets to a prepared Hillsdale College on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers played Findlay the night before traveling to Michigan where the Chargers awaited rested and untested on the weekend.
The advanced preparation for the Chargers (23-3, 13-2 GMAC) showed in the first set as the Hillsdale held a .355 attacking percentage en route to a 25-14 victory. Wesleyan (12-18, 7-8 GMAC) fell behind 2-0 as the Chargers took the second set 25-13. Hillsdale continued to perform offensively, hitting .368 in the frame.
Nilah Roy collected 11 kills on the afternoon, but it was not enough to slow down the Chargers. Hillsdale finished things off in the third with a 25-14 win.
Hannah Pierce recorded 10 digs on the night.
Courtney Gildea finished with 15 assists.
The Panthers will return home on Friday to host Cedarville as Great Midwest play continues. The match is scheduled to start at 7 PM.
