COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team saw its 2017 season come to a close on Saturday, suffering a 2-0 loss at the No. 2 seed Ohio Dominican in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference quarterfinal. Kentucky Wesleyan finishes the season at 5-10-1 overall and 5-8-1 in conference play while Ohio Dominican moves to 14-4-1 overall and 11-2-1 in the G-MAC.
Ohio Dominican netted their first goal in the 18th minute to take a 1-0 lead to the half. A goal in the 86th minute gave them a 2-0 lead that held.
Madisyn Hunt led the Panthers with nine shots, three of which were on goal.
Breigh Haase tallied two while
Kelsey Humphries recorded one.
Taylor Rentchler played the full 90 minutes in net, making 12 saves while allowing two goals.
