OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team picked-up another win in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Saturday afternoon over Trevecca Nazarene. The Panthers took a straight sets victory over the Trojans at Jones Gymnasium.
 
Things swung the way of Wesleyan early as the Panthers took a quick 13-4 lead. The Trojans burned both of their timeouts trying to slow the momentum. The lead grew 22-9 before Trevecca made a late run. Nilah Roy closed out the set with a kill, giving the Panthers a 25-19 win.
 
A back-and-forth start to the second set swung back to Wesleyan late. The Panthers won five of six points midway through the frame to establish a 17-11 lead. Hannah Pierce's ace solidified a 2-0 lead as Wesleyan took the second 25-18. The second was the best offensive performance for the Panthers as they held an attacking percentage of .250.
 
The Panther ran away with the third set at precise serving coupled with Trojans' errors gave Wesleyan a 16-5 lead. A kill by Roy ended the match, giving the Panthers a 25-12 win.
 
Roy finished with a match-high 10 kills and 13 digs. Lydia Jackson dished out 15 assists while Hannah Pierce recorded 17 digs defensively.
 
The Panthers will travel to Findlay, Ohio for a match against the Oilers on Friday. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7PM CT.
