Kentucky Wesleyan fell 3-0 to Southern Indiana in the Panthers' second game of the Dunn Hospitality Invitational at Strassweg Field in Evansville on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers, (0-2-0) were held scoreless in both contests this weekend.

In the opening minutes of the match, Kentucky Wesleyan had two great opportunities to score. Kaley Burnette's header and Breigh Haase's shot from the top of the box provided good looks, and nearly gave the Panthers the edge early on.

USI took the first lead of the game halfway through the opening half in the 26th minute of the game off a shot from the right wing. Just before the half, Penni Pluimer took a shot from the top of the box to try to even the score, but the attempt was saved. The Screaming Eagles led 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, USI scored off of a penalty kick in the 55th, after Kentucky Wesleyan committed a foul inside the box. The third goal of the match came fifteen minutes later in the 70th minute, off a shot from inside the box yet again.
