Kentucky Wesleyan fell at Malone 2-0 on Thursday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers had previously defeated Malone at Steele Stadium 1-0 earlier in the season. KWC posted seven shots throughout the contest. With the loss, Kentucky Wesleyan drops to 3-6-2, (2-4-2 G-MAC) on the year.
The Pioneers scored both of their two goals in the first half. The first goal was scored in the 16th minute of play, and the second goal came just moments later in the 18th minute of play. Both goals were assisted as well.
Breigh Haase posted a team-high two shots on-goal, and Ellen Tichenor recorded one shot on-goal in the match. Goalkeeper Taylor Rentchler registered seven saves in the match.
The Panthers will stay in Ohio, and will play another Great Midwest Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Ursuline. The match is tabbed for a noon CT start. In the first meeting at Steele Stadium, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
