Kentucky Wesleyan fell 2-1 at home against Cedarville in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday evening at Steele Stadium. The Panthers dropped their first meeting with the Yellow Jackets 1-0. With the loss this evening, Kentucky Wesleyan falls to 2-12, (1-9 G-MAC) on the year. Senior's Kurtis Roberts, Blake Cobb, Demetrius Carter, Nikos Agisilaou, and Robert Buckner were all recognized during halftime of the game.

Cedarville scored their first goal of the contest in the 10th minute off of a header from a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead.

The Panthers would even up the match after Ben Protheroe nailed a shot from inside the box in the 26th minute. Matt Hickingbotham and Kurtis Roberts each provided the assist on the score. Roberts' pass down field led to Hickingbotham's cross inside the box, as Protheroe scored easily.

The Yellow Jackets would add a second goal late in the half in the 36th minute off of a chipped shot that landed over the keeper.

Neither team was able to score in the second half of action, as the result remained 2-1. KWC out-shot Cedarville in the contest 11-10. Kurtis Roberts led the Panthers on the night with three shots.

Goalkeeper Grant Allen recorded three saves in the loss.

The Panthers will return to action on Saturday as they host Ohio Valley at Panther Field. The match is set to begin at noon.
