Kentucky Wesleyan held off Davis & Elkins 2-1 in Elkins, W.Va. on Saturday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers fell at home to D&E in the first meeting of the season. With today's victory, KWC improves to 5-7-2, (4-5-2 G-MAC) on the season. The Panthers have won two consecutive conference matches now.

Kentucky Wesleyan first took the lead in the first half, after Kamryn Pulliam scored her second goal of the season at the 14:00 minute mark of play. Kaley Burnette provided the assist on the goal. The Panthers took their 1-0 advantage into halftime.

Midway through the second half, the Senators tied things up with a goal in the 64th minute of play. KWC would re-claim the lead in the 67th minute of action. Madison Haycraft scored the game-winning goal, her third of the season. Erika Hinchcliffe issued the assist.

Goalkeeper Taylor Rentchler registered six saves in the win. The Panthers' defense faced a total of 22 shots throughout the day.

Kentucky Wesleyan posted seven shots on-goal. Pulliam took a team-high three shots on-goal in the match. Breigh Haase also recorded two shots in the match.

The Panthers will return to Owensboro for their Senior Night match on Thursday against Cedarville at Steele Stadium. The match is set to begin at 8 p.m. CT.
