Kentucky Wesleyan dropped a 3-1 decision at Davis & Elkins in Elkins, W.Va. on Saturday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. With the loss the Panthers fall to 2-11 on the season.
Davis & Elkins scored one goal in the first half, and added two more scores in the second period. The first goal of the match for the Senators came just before halftime in the 41st minute of play. D&E led 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the Senators took a 2-0 lead after a goal scored in the 74th minute.
The Panthers got on the board minutes later to cut the lead down to 2-1. Drew Scott scored the goal, while John Landry tallied the assist.
Davis & Elkins scored their third goal of the match with four minutes remaining for a 3-1 lead.
KWC posted seven shots in the contest, three of which landed on-goal.
Kentucky Wesleyan will return to action next Thursday at home against G-MAC foe Cedarville. The match has been tabbed as Senior Night. The match is set for a 5:30 p.m. CT start.
