Kentucky Wesleyan dropped a 3-2 decision at Alderson Broaddus on Thursday evening in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers fall to 2-10 on the year with the loss.
Alderson Broaddus stuck first in the 21st minute of action to take the 1-0 lead. Kentucky Wesleyan evened up the match at 1-1 after Selvin Hernandez recorded his first career goal at KWC. Both teams went into the locker room tied up.
In the second half, Alderson Broaddus would quickly take the lead back. The Battlers scored two goals in the first three minutes of the start of the half to lead 3-1.
The Panthers would score once more late in the second half to cut the margin down to 3-2. Arthur Rogers connected on a penalty kick, for his fourth scored goal of the season.
KWC finished with eight shots, four of which landed on-goal. Rogers led the Panthers with five shots in the match. Grant Allen registered four saves.
Kentucky Wesleyan will take on Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon in Elkins, W.Va. at 1:30 p.m. CT.
