Women’s soccer falters at home 1-0 to Trevecca

Kentucky Wesleyan's women's soccer team dropped their third conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon to Trevecca 1-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. KWC, who tied its match with Cedarville earlier in the week, is now 2-5-2, (2-3-2 G-MAC) this year.

The only goal of the contest came in the 35th minute of the first half, on an unassisted goal from a shot inside the box. The Panthers came close several times to evening up the score, but fell victim to three shots bouncing off the top of the crossbar.

Kentucky Wesleyan finished with seven total shots in the match. Kelsey Humphries and Kamryn Pulliam each tallied two shots apiece.

Goalkeeper Taylor Rentchler collected eight saves. She is averaging just over seven saves per contest.

Kentucky Wesleyan will next play at Berea College on Monday evening at 5 p.m. CT.
