Soccer preview for Salem International and Ohio Valley

The Panthers have two home games this week at Steele Stadium and Panther Field on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at noon.

The matches are against the Salem International Tigers and the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots.

The Tigers are 2-2 on the year, and are coming off of a defeat to Cedarville University by a score of 5-1.

The Fighting Scots are also 2-2 this season, and are coming off losses to Cedarville University and Walsh University.

The Panthers enter Thursday's match with a record of 0-3-1. They are coming off of a tough 3-2 overtime loss against Alderson Broaddus, but head coach John Fusco has continued to see improvement throughout his team.

"Since the season opener, we've been getting better and better every game," Fusco stated. "Every home game is huge, but any time we get into conference at home, it's time for us to really step up to the plate and do our job, by defending our home turf."

The Panthers will look to grab their first conference win this weekend.
