Soccer edged in overtime 3-2

Kentucky Wesleyan lost to host Alderson Broaddus 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action in Philippi, WVa.
 
This marked the second straight game and third-time this season the Panthers went into overtime.
 
ABU's Marco Profunio scored in the first three minutes before the Panthers responded. Azer Sabanovic answered 30 seconds later with an unassisted goal to tie it up.
 
Alec Andall then scored on a penalty kick at the 14:44 mark to move the Battlers ahead. Kurtis Roberts tied the contest at 2-2 on a breakaway goal at 24:32 to settle on the halftime tally.
 
Both teams were unable to send the ball across the goal line in the second frame.  Fernando Franco scored ABU's game-winner in the 93:27 minute.
 
Goalie Grant Allen collected five saves. KWC had three shots to the Battler's eight.
 
Kentucky Wesleyan (0-3-1, 0-1-1 G-MAC) will host Salem International at Steele Stadium on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
