Soccer’s season comes to an end

The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team fell to Trevecca 6-1 in their final match of the regular season. The Panthers had already been eliminated from advancing to the G-MAC tournament prior to today's match.

In the first half on the pitch, the Trojans struck first early with a goal in the fourth minute from Jake Singer. In the 12th minute, Ryan Hogan added another goal for Trevecca. In the 37th minute Jake Singer scored again to give Trevecca a commanding 3-0 halftime advantage.

In the second half, it was the same story. Trevecca scored three more goals in a span of fourteen minutes. In the 64th minute, Baylor McKay drove in the fourth goal of the match. Less than a minute later, Matthew Dyer scored off of a hard shot from just inside the box to the upper right corner. Samuel Mummert scored Trevecca's final goal in the 78th minute of the match. Trevecca took 26 shots and placed 10 of them on goal.

Goalie Trey Hill logged five saves for Kentucky Wesleyan.

Ben Parsley scored the lone goal for the Panthers in the final match of his career in the 81st minute to put Kentucky Wesleyan on the board. It was Parsley's first goal of year and his first career goal scored.

With the loss, Kentucky Wesleyan ends the season with a record of 2-13-1 (1-10-1 G-MAC).
