Kentucky Wesleyan dropped their final home match of the year 5-1 to Davis & Elkins in Great Midwest Athletic Conference aqction on Saturday afternoon at Panther Field.

Both teams came out looking to score early, but D&E struck first in the fifth minute with a goal from Ben Lyons. The Panthers would respond with a goal from Blake Cobb in the 26th minute. It was Cobb's fourth goal of the season, and his second consecutive match with a goal. However, just a few minutes later, the Senators would score to re-take the lead at 2-1.

In the second half of the match, D&E continued their offensive attack. They would score three goals in three minutes from the span of the 54th -57th minute mark. The Senators wound up taking 20 shots throughout the match. Simon Hestad finished the match with two goals and an assist. Ross Stewart also added a goal and two assists for the Senators.

The Panthers managed to take 10 shots during the match, but were only able to place three of them on goal. Trey Hill had seven saves at goalkeeper.

Kentucky Wesleyan falls to 2-12-1 (1-9-1 G-MAC) on the year. With the loss, they have been eliminated from advancing to the G-MAC tournament.
The Panthers will officially wrap their season up on the road against Trevecca on Tuesday.
