Box Score Annie Elder's goal in the 15th minute put Kentucky Wesleyan's women's soccer team up 1-0. KWC would add two goals in the second half and bring the final total to 3-0 in a win against Brescia at Steele Stadium.
"The first goal came off a missed goal (off the crossbar) and the second one came off a cross from Paige (Kramer)," said Elder after the game. "It was just an awesome effort and without my teammates, I wouldn't have had those goals."
KWC's second half goals happened almost back-to-back with
Lauren Norton scoring on a beautiful cross from Elder to make it 2-0. The second goal, coming about eight minutes later, went to Elder on a cross from Kramer in the box to make it 3-0. Elder would finish with two goals and an assist for the game.
The Panthers dominated Brescia from start to finish, outshooting the Bearcats 19-1 in the game.Â
"It's a big game," added Elder, when asked about the team's next game on Tuesday in Louisville against Bellarmine. "They're really good. We're all a little nervous, but we are going to work hard and try to get a win."
