Seth Applegate both led Kentucky Wesleyan to a fourth-place finish in the women's and men's competition at the Maryville Invitational in St. Louis,
Applegate produced a seventh-best 27:50.35 over the 8k course. Sophomore
Bryant Qualls followed Applegate at No. 12 with a 28:37.65 and junior
Michael Polio came in No. 15 with a 28:53.95.

Seth Burnette recorded a 29:50.25, freshman Dylan Watson posted a 31:15.96, freshman
McKay Cooper had a 31:32.96 and freshman
Lucas Butler rounded out the scoring with a 31:44.28.
Also competing were freshen Braeddon Cannon (32:02.8);
David Leix (32:31.5); Rowe Douglas (33:07.0); and sophomore
Griffin Kelley (33:50.4).
Anthony Allen of Maryville won the individual title with a 26:14.65 as the Saints won their own Invitational.
On the women's side, Keeley led KWC with an eighth-best 25:28.76 over the 6k course; followed by sophomore
Anita Black's No. 14 finish with a 26:59.97. Junior
Alex Velez produced a 25:58.47; sophomore
Casey Price posted a 28:09.87; and sophomore
Alexa Leon rounded out the scoring with a 32:23.68.
Elizabeth Kiblinger of Maryville won the individual championship with a 23:26.46 in leading the Saints to their own Invitational title.
Both Panther squads return to action on Oct. 11, when Kentucky Wesleyan hosts the Fast Cats Classic at Yellow Creek Park.
