G-MAC storyThe Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's cross country teams both took fifth place at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship, host by the Panthers at Yellow Creek Park Saturday morning, for their best finish ever in the Championship.
Rachel Keeley captured 14th among 74 runners by posting a 24:04:15 over the 6,000 meters course to earn All-G-MAC honors for her Top 20 finish to become the first KWC runner to set history with her all-conference award.
Alex Velez followed with a 23rd-best 26:14.3;
Anita Black placed 27th with a 27:42.9;
Casey Price ran 28th with a 27:43.1; and
Alexa Leon registered 32nd with a 28:03:0.
On the men's side,
Seth Applegate captured 18th place among 63 runners with a 27:34.36 over the 8,000 course.
Michael Polio followed by racing to 24th with a 28:38.1.;
Bryant Qualls produced a 28:52.2 for 26th;
Seth Burnette ran a 29:23.2 good for 32nd; and
Lucas Butler tallied a 30:45.5 for38th.
McKay Cooper and
Dylan Walton rounded out the Panthers with times of 30:58.1 and 31:21.7.
