Box Score With a home game clinched in the first round of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament, Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer looked to improve its seeding with a win today.
Cedarville would not let that happen, scoring once in the 84th minute and once in the 87th minute to hand KWC a 2-0 loss in the final regular season game at home.
The Panthers kept Cedarville off the board in the first half, and the game looked as if it was headed for overtime until a foul and a free kick resulted in the first goal for the Jackets.
Kathryn Dishion had two saves for KWC, who outshot Cedarville 14-8 and 7-4 on goal, but weren't able to cash in.
The Panthers return to the pitch on Saturday with a rematch against Cedarville. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
