Preview: Men's Soccer hosts Cedarville

A draw in their last match against Oakland City has set the stage for an exciting regular season Great Midwest Athletic Conference finale for Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer.

Tomorrow, KWC hosts the G-MAC tournament hosts Cedarville at noon on Panther Field.

"Cedarville will be a tough matchup," said head coach John Fusco.  "We played them tough of their.  We need to defend our home turf and come out of that game with a result."

The Panthers enter the matchup 6-6-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the G-MAC.  Christakis Agisilaou has 12 goals this season to lead the team and Kurtis Roberts has seven assists.  Grant Allen has played the majority of minutes in goal, making a G-MAC leading 78 saves so far.

Cedarville has a record of 10-4-2 overall and 6-0-1 in G-MAC play.  The two teams met in Ohio on Sept. 20, with Cedarville winning 1-0 in that game.  Connor Gilmour leads Cedarville in goals with 14 and Ethan Dewhurst had played the majority of the minutes in goal, making 27 saves.

KWC is in a must win situation.  A win and the Panthers would host a first round G-MAC contest against Alderson Broaddus.  A loss and the Panthers would have to travel to either Davis & Elkins or Salem International.
