Box Score Carrying momentum into tonight's game after a win in their most recent contest, Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer went into the locker room at halftime tied at nil.
However, a goal in the 50th minute on a misplay in the box put Davis & Elkins up 1-0 and KWC could not recover, falling by that score tonight in G-MAC play.
"Losing a 1-0 game like that is very, very tough," said head coach
John Fusco after the match. "But, the boys put in a solid performance. Defensively, they were great. We had some chances on goal and, unfortunately, their keeper made some really great saves."
KWC was outshot 19-nine in the match and 10-four in shots on goal.Â
Grant Allen was terrific again in net for the Panthers, making nine stops on the evening.
When asked what to expect going into Saturday, Fusco replied: "Quick turnaround on Saturday. Big G-MAC week for us and if we could play again right now, we would.
KWC takes on G-MAC foe Alderson Broaddus at Panther Field on Saturday afternoon.
