Box Score On a rainy evening against a team that hadn't lost or been tied all season, Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer scored first and fought to a draw against Maine-Fort Kent.
Travis Foreman scored for KWC at the 64 minute mark on an assist from
Luke Robertson to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. That was the first time UMFK had trailed all season.
KWC was able to hold the lead until the 84th minute, when the Bengals answered with a goal to tie the score at one. Both teams would come up with chances in the final minutes, but the score stayed tied heading to overtime.
In overtime, KWC had chances to score, each time missing the target.Â
Grant Allen, who finished with a season and career best 12 saves, turned away two attempts in the first OT to help send the game to a second OT.
Neither team had a shot on goal in the second overtime and KWC's three opportunities were either high or wide and the score ended in a tie at one. With the tie, the Panthers record sits at 5-6-2 on the season.
KWC returns to conference play on Saturday with a home game against Trevecca on Panther Field.
