Box Score A goal in the seventh minute capped off a dominating weekend for the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team.
KWC defeated Ohio Valley 5-0 today. Four of the five goals for the Panthers came in the second half.
"We faced a lot of adversity," said head coach
Jamie Duvall. "We are coming home with two important wins. We did what we needed to do."
Penni Pluimer opened the scoring for KWC with the goal in the seventh minute on an assist by
Lauren Norton. Pluimer's goal was the lone goal of the first half as the Panthers went into the locker room up 1-0 at the half.
Paige Kramer opened the second half scoring with a goal in the 47
th minute on an assist by
Leslie Chinn to make the score 2-0.
Katlyn Duke made it 3-0 three minutes later with her second goal of the weekend, assisted by
Penni Pluimer.
Annie Elder added a goal in the 64
th minute to make the score 4-0. Pluimer picked up her second assist on a goal by
Kelsey Croft at the 77 minute mark to bring the score to its final margin of 5-0.
KWC returns to the pitch on Wednesday at Oakland City.
