Taking a break from G-MAC play the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team traveled to Midway Monday afternoon where the Panthers returned to the win column after beating the Eagles 8-0 to move to 5-2 overall on the season.
Junior
Annie Elder wasted no time putting the Panthers on the board scoring at the 1:27 mark on an assist from classmate
Julia Klump.
Almost exactly nine minutes later Elder made it a 2-0 game when she found the back of the net on an assist from junior
Paige Kramer.
Sophomore
Katlyn Duke extended the Panthers lead to three in the 16
th minute. Kramer and Klump earned assists on Dukes goal.
In the 19th minute Klump earned her second assist of the game when freshman
Katy Holland scored her first collegiate goal to put KWC ahead 4-0.
Freshman
Rhiannon Moore closed out the scoring in the first half of action in the 27th minute on a pass from senior
Kaitie Whitney.
Less than three minutes into the second half Kramer found Klump who put the ball past the Eagles goalie to make it a 6-0 game.
Junior
Leslie Chinn added to the Panthers lead in the 63rd minute with Duke receiving credit on the assist.
Sophomore
Lauren Norton obtained the final goal for KWC with 20 minutes remaining in the game.
The Panthers had 23 shots on the afternoon.
Sophomore
Kathryn Dishion had one save in 30 minutes of action and classmate
Alissa Shultz recorded three in 45 minutes.
The Panthers travel to Wilmore, Ky. on Thursday, Sept. 26 to play Asbury at 4 p.m.
