Taking part in their inaugural Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) game the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to Ursuline 2-1 on Thursday night at Steele Stadium snapping the Panthers four game win streak. KWC had its best start to a season since 2002 and has won the first four games only two other times in program history (2002 & 1999).
Junior
Paige Kramer gave the Panthers the 1-0 lead following 51 minutes of action, after finding the back of the net on classmate Annie Elders header across the box.
Ursuline scored nine minutes later to tie the game. Vanessa Consiglio put the Arrows ahead 2-1 three minutes later.
KWC outshot Ursuline 13-12 and had the 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore
Kathryn Dishion had eight saves on the evening.
The Panthers host Cedarville at Panther Field on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2:30 p.m.
