Two second half goals helped propel the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Oakland City Saturday afternoon moving them to 4-0 on the season.
The Panthers controlled the first half of action, but they were unable to put the ball past Lady Oaks goalie Emily Karns.
In the first 45 minutes of play KWC outshot Oakland City 20-2 and the Panthers had the 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Junior
Annie Elder put the Panthers on the board in the 67th minute finding the back of the net after the ball bounced around in the box following a corner kick.
Three minutes later junior
Paige Kramer cushioned the KWC lead putting the ball past Oakland City goalie Eleni Moreland on an assist from freshman
Rhiannon Moore.
The Panthers finished the game with 39 shots on goal and 10 corner kicks.
Sophomore
Kathryn Dishion made four saves on the afternoon for KWC.
Next up for the Panthers is Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponent Ursuline on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Steele Stadium.
