Box Score

The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team moved to 3-0 on the season after defeating Georgetown College on Thursday, Sept. 12 at Toyota Stadium. The Panthers are off to their best start since 2002, when they won their first four games.

During the first 45 minutes of play the Tigers outshot the Panthers 9-5, but neither team could find the back of the net.

Sophomore Kathryn Dishion posted five saves in the opening half for KWC.

Junior Julia Klump put the Panthers on the board after 81 minutes of action. Klump put the ball past Danielle Lang after the ball took a wild bounce inside the box to score her first goal of the season.

After tallying several shots in the first half, Georgetown was held to only two shots in the final 45 minutes, while KWC had five.

Dishion recorded her second shutout of the season, finishing with six saves in the win.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14 against Oakland City. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Panther Field.
