Playing in its first G-MAC road game of the season the Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team dropped a 7-1 decision to Davis & Elkins Thursday evening in Elkins, W. Va. The Panthers are 2-6-2 overall and 0-3 in conference play following the defeat.
Davis & Elkins scored back-to-back goals to build a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of play.
Freshman
Blake Cobb scored the Panthers lone goal in the 22nd minute of play to cut the Senators lead in half.
Davis & Elkins went into halftime with a 4-1 lead.
During the second half of action the Senators scored three additional goals to take the game 7-1.
Sophomore
Travis Rowland had seven saves for the Panthers.
KWC faces Alderson Broaddus on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. in Philippi, W. Va.
