After finding a time and location to play following inclement weather in northern Ohio the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team beat Ursuline 1-0 in Geneva Friday afternoon. The Panthers are 10-6 overall and 4-5 in the G-MAC.
The first half remained scoreless following 45 minutes of play. Ursuline had a slight 5-4 edge in shots over KWC, while KWC had the lone corner kick in the first half of play.
Junior
Leslie Chinn put the ball past the Arrows goalkeeper in the 48th minute on a cross from sophomore
Lauren Norton to give the Panthers the 1-0 advantage.
The Panthers outshot Ursuline 4-3 in the second half and finished the game with three corner kicks.
Sophomore
Kathryn Dishion had five saves in the win.
KWC closes out the regular season tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 26 against Cedarville at 3:30 p.m. in Cedarville, Ohio.
