Men’s soccer succumbs loss to Trevecca Nazarene

The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team held a 2-0 lead at halftime, but fell 3-2 to Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday night. The Panthers are 4-8-2 on the season and 2-5-0 in G-MAC action.

Junior Christakis Agisilaou put the Panthers on the board in the 17th minute putting the ball in the back of the net from 15 yards out on an assist from classmate Ryan Brewer.

Agisilaou scored his second goal seven minutes later. Freshman Kurtis Roberts earned the assist on the goal.

The Trojans outshot the Panthers 10-8. Each team had one corner kick in the first 45 minutes of play.

Trevecca Nazarene scored in the 60th, 66th and 78th minute on their come from behind win.

During the second half the Trojans outshot KWC 8-5, but both teams had five corner kicks.

Next up for the Panthers is Senior Night on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Steele Stadium against Oakland City.
