Box Score The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team lost a tough 3-2 overtime game to G-MAC opponent Salem International Thursday evening at Steele Stadium. The Panthers are 3-7-2 on the season and 1-4-0 in conference play.
Junior
Christakis Agisilaou gave KWC the 1-0 advantage after dribbling the ball past the charging Tigers goalkeeper and finding the back of the net on an assist from sophomore
Travis Foreman in the ninth minute of play.
Salem International tied the game in the 13th minute on a shot by Carlos Rodriguez from 25 yards out.
During the second half of action Forman put the Panthers back ahead following 58 minutes of play on an assist by C. Agisilaou.
The Tigers tied the game with less than 10 minutes remaining and the two teams headed into overtime after the score remained tied following 90 minutes of action.
Javier Ruiz Paz scored the winning goal for the Tigers with less than two minutes remaining in the first overtime period.
Salem International outshot KWC 22-8 and held a slight 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore
Travis Rowland posted three saves on the evening.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 against conference opponent, Ohio Valley, at 12:30 p.m. at Panther Field as part of the Homecoming festivities.
