Soccer Panthers fall short

Trevecca Nazarene's Richie Reichenberger scored the game-winning goal at the 88th minute mark to squeeze past Kentucky Wesleyan 3-2 in soccer action on Tuesday afternoon at Panther Field.
 
The Panthers jumped ahead 1-0 on Alex Ashton Zapata's goal from Ryan Brewer at the 37th minute mark.
 
After halftime, the Trojans (4-1) scored back-to-back unassisted goals from Jonathan Baskin and Rob Ward in the 62nd and 65th minute.
 
Zack Duvall scored on a long free kick to tie the game 2-2 for the Panthers at the 68th mark before Trevecca Nazarene's winning score.
 
The Trojans had 18 shots to KWC's six. Panther goalie Bill Ison collected four saves.
 
KWC (0-4) hosts Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Maryville at 5:30 on Friday at Steele Stadium.
