Meagan Sallee led the Panthers with a double and triple plus five RBIs in KWC's 13-2 and 9-0 rout at Oakland City on Wednesday afternoon.
In the first game, the Panthers pounded the Mighty Oaks with 16 hits including a double by
Katy Kruse, a triple by Sallee and a home run by
Angie Camp.
Sallee and
Clarissa Smith had three RBIs each while Kruse and
Kayla Meny added two apiece. Seven players recorded two hits and
Ashley Crooke scored three runs for KWC.
Ashlee Winstead earned the win with five strikeouts in three innings.
Josalyn Ress closed with four strikeouts in two scoreless innings.
In the nightcap, Meny pitched a one-hitter in five innings for her first win of the season and
Jordan Vertz threw two strikeouts in the final two innings to combine for the shutout.
The Panthers collected 13 hits with Camp, Meny, Sallee and
Kyli Smithson with two each. Crooke, Sallee, Smithson also produced two RBIs apiece.
KWC travels to Wisconsin-Parkside for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 24 at noon.
