Kentucky Wesleyan College head football coach
Brent Holsclaw announced four student-athletes have signed with the Panthers on the first day of the national signing day.
Joining the Panthers are
Kendall Tinsley from Owensboro High School; Kyle Davis from Northeast Mississippi Community College;
Cuda Dimmett from Evansville (Ind.) Reitz High School; and
Aaron House from North Hardin High School (Ky.).
"This is just the first wave of recruits and a great start to the early signing period," said Holsclaw. "I am very excited about these newcomers as we have starting fulfilling needs at the skill positions and on the offensive and defensive lines."
Tinsley, a 5-foot-8, 165-pound running back and defensive back from Owensboro High School, rushed for a team-best 724 yards on 132 carries for 12 touchdowns while catching 12 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns in starting all 12 games in 2011. He also led the Red Devils in scoring with 108 points plus collected 47 tackles.
Davis, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive tackle from Olive Branch, Miss., started 13 games in two seasons for Tigers. He helped anchor a line that rush the ball for over 2000 yards in his two years.
Dimmett, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound all purpose performer, transferred from Marian College where he was a redshirt as a freshman in 2011. At Reitz, Dimmett led the Panthers in nearly every offensive and defensive statistic.
House, 6-foot, 260-pound defensive tackle from Radcliss, Ky., was a 2011 Courier-Journal honorable mention all-state selection. He led the Trojans with 65 tackles, four sacks, two fumble recoveries. House is also the defending heavyweight state champion in wrestling.
