Kentucky Wesleyan ended their volleyball season by sweeping visiting Midwest Region foe Urbana 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-23) on Saturday night.
Bridget Johnson led a balanced attack with a team-high 10 kills.
Ashley Smith and
MaryBeth Ryan had seven kills each and
Chelsey Smith chipped in five. Ryan also recorded two blocks.
Jordan Rickert issued 31 assists, picked-up 11 digs and had two blocks. Johnson, Smith and
Brianna Outland each scored two aces.
Morgan Watson collected a match-high 22 digs and
Nikki Jenkins nine.
KWC honored the four graduating seniors and their parents in pregame ceremonies:
Sarah Pedigo,
MaryBeth Ryan,
Chelsey Smith and
Morgan Watson.
Earlier in the afternoon, Lewis defeated the Panthers 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-21) in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Smith produced 10 kills, Johnson had eight and
Chelsea Brothers added seven. Johnson also had two blocks.
Rickert posted 21 assists plus 10 digs. Watson recorded 16 digs and Hanna Hudnall had 11.
The Panthers finish with a 11-23 overall record and a 3-15 slate in the GLVC.
