Freshman Christakis Agisiliou scored two goals and added an assist as Kentucky Wesleyan won their season opener by defeating visiting Berea, 3-1, at Panther Field on Saturday afternoon.
Agisiliou scored at the 6:56 mark with a double assist from freshmen
Zack Duvall and
Ryan Brewer.
Berea's Chris Yaluma tied the game at 1-1 on an assists from Husniddin Mamatov at 22:56 for their lone score.
Haris Dzaferbegovic scored the go-ahead goal at the 77 minute mark on an assist from Agisiliou.
Agisiliou capped off the Panthers scoring at the 84th minute mark on an assists from
Joel Sallee.
The Panthers outshot the Pioneers (0-1) 24-14. Freshman Nick Snyder collected six saves for KWC and Caleb Stringer recorded 10 for Berea.
Kentucky Wesleyan (1-0) hosts Brescia on Labor Day at 5 p.m.
