Kentucky Wesleyan College's baseball team used its pitching in the opener and its offense in the nightcap to capture a doubleheader to sweep of Saint Joseph's on Sunday in Rensselaer, Ind.

Shane Waldrop pitched seven strong innings, striking out six and walking one as the Panthers took game one 5-1.

Scott Woodburn and Ben Farleigh drove in two runs each for Wesleyan and Luis Mila added a pair of hits and an RBI.

In game two, the Panthers (15-20 overall, 9-16 Great Lakes Valley Conference) scored four runs in both the eighth and ninth innings to win 11-10.

KWC got a huge game from Jordan White, who went 5-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Farleigh also drove in three runs and Woodburn and Ray Delvalle plated two.

Matt Atkins got the win in relief, going 2 2/3 innings.

The games were moved to Rensselaer due to heavy rain in the Owensboro area.

The Panthers wrap up the regular season with a twin bill this weekend at Indianapolis.
