2011: First in appearances with 15…had three starts…went 1-3 with a 4.67 ERA…posted four saves…threw a third-best 43.1 innings…fanned 13 batters…fielded six putouts and five assists for a .917 fielding percentage.

2010: Made six appearances…no starts….gathered one save…struck out four…pitched 7.1 innings…had three fielding assists…also plays football.

2009: Threw eight innings in six appearances…no starts…had two strikeouts…no decisions…produced one fielding assist…also plays football.

High School: Two-time all-district performer at first and third base and as pitcher…selected all-region in 2004…coached by Grady Brown…also a three-year starter on the football and basketball teams…earned numerous postseason honors in football…two-time Who’s Who Among American High School Students selection…named to Who’s Who Among American High School Athletes in 2005.

Personal: Born November 6, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio…son of John and Rhonda Atkins…fitness and sports management major…his uncle, Ricky Atkins, pitched for Northern Kentucky University in the mid 1980s.
