The Kentucky Wesleyan College baseball team mustered just five hits Wednesday in a 10-0 loss to the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville.

Matt Atkins (0-1) took the loss, throwing three innings in the Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup.

USI's Tyler Choate (6-1) held the Panthers to three hits with two strikeouts and hit a pair of batters in five innings.

The 16th-ranked Eagles (18-8, 10-2 GLVC) broke open a scoreless game with four runs in the third inning and added three more in the fourth.

KWC fell to 8-13, 2-10.
