Kentucky Wesleyan split with host Wisconsin Parkside on Sunday afternoon with a 7-5 win and 7-6 loss.
The Panthers jumped out with three runs in first inning with Jordan White starting with a double to knock in Luke Garmon followed by Dave Murphy's sacrifice fly to score White and Scott Woodburn's single to score Jon Wandling.
Garmon scored on a wild pitch in second to make it 4-1. In the sixth, Luis Mila's single brought home Woodburn for a 5-2 lead.
Jon Wandling hit a two-run homer to score Roman Ricker for the final 7-5 victory. Mitch Kellum threw 5.2 innings with three strikeouts to capture the win and Chaz Simpson earned the save the last 3.1 innings.
In the second contest, KWC tied the score 6-6 in the seventh before the Rangers added the game winning run.
The Panthers once again opened with two runs in the first as White hit a two-run homer scoring Ray Delvalle. Parkside came back to score once in the first, three in the fourth and two in the fifth before the KWC scored three in the sixth.
Wandling doubled to score White followed by Logan Neal's RBI single as Wandling and Nathan Hedgepath crossed the plate.
White hit a single to score Delvalle in the seventh to tie the score 6-6. The Rangers hit the game winning single in seventh to win 7-6.
Brandon Robinette started on the mound for KWC and went 4.2 innings and striking out seven. Charles Baxter came into relief for the final two innings to receive the loss.
The Panthers Monday doubleheader with Parkside has been cancelled due to snow.
Their next doubleheader will be against arch-rival and Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Southern Indiana on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Panther Park.
