2011: Appeared in nine contests…posted a 2.40 ERA with a 1-1 record…threw 15 innings with 13 strikeouts.

2010: Made 11 appearances on the mound…threw 12 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched…no decisions.

2009: Appeared in nine contests…recorded a 3.21 earned run average…had 13 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.

2008: Made seven appearances on the mound…earned one start…no wins…had seven strikeouts in 10.1 innings pitched.

High School: Honorable mention all-state performer as a pitcher and at first base in 2007…at the plate he had a .375 batting average with 48 hits, five doubles, one triple , three home runs and 27 runs batted in…also had a .500 slugging percentage his final season…on the mound he produced a 1.87 earned run average in 56 innings pitched…made 12 appearances with 10 starts for a 7-2 record…struck out 113…had two no-hit games and two one-hitters plus two shutouts and four complete games…four-year letterwinner and three-year starter…chosen all-district as a senior…twice voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates…led the Wildcats to the district titles as a sophomore and junior seasons…his career numbers include .347 at the plate in 93 games and 84 starts with 110 hits, 12 doubles, seven home runs and 73 runs batted in…he finished with a 2.21 career ERA in 149 innings pitched and 266 strikeouts…posted a perfect game as a junior and three no-hitters in 2006 and 2007…holds the school record for most season strikeouts…coach by Craig Delk…also played football three years and basketball one season.

Personal: Born January 11, 1989 in Long Beach, California…son of Russell and Kathy Baxter…fitness and sports management major…his father played in the California Angels organization…his cousin, Jacob Baxter played for the Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks systems.
