Haris Dzaferbegovic last minute game-winning goal at the 89 minute mark sent Kentucky Wesleyan to victory in the Panthers 3-2 defeat of Illinois-Springfield on Sunday afternoon at Panther Field.
Ryan Brewer open the game with a goal from Ryan Broshears at the ninth minute before the Prairie Stars bounced back with a goal. Andrew Zapata on a pass from Dzaferbegovic scored at the 33rd minute for a 2-1 halftime lead.
IUS tied the game at the 77th minute before the Panthers scored their final goal.
The Panthers recorded 12 shot to the Prairie Stars 23. KWC goalie Nick Snyder collected nine saves.
KWC plays at arch-rival Southern Indiana on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
