Parks leads Miners to 71-66 win over Panthers

Hailee Parks scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift Missouri S&T to a 71-66 women's college basketball victory over Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday at the Sportscenter.

The Miners improved to 11-2 overall and remained undefeated in Great Lakes Valley Conference play at 5-0.

Missouri S&T also got 13 points from Toni Knar and a game-best 12 rebounds from D'Naya Mims.

KWC (7-4, 1-3) was led by Karly Rhoads' 13 points. Shelbi Tyra had 11 and Kristen Rowe 10 for the Panthers.


Wesleyan shot 44 percent from the field overall, but made just 5-of-23 shots from 3-point range (22 percent).

The Miners dominated the glass, outrebounding the Panthers 41-30.

KWC returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Drury.
