Kentucky Wesleyan College Athletics

 Kentucky Wesleyan second baseman Leah Emmerick has been  named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference third team as selected by league softball coaches.
   
Emmerick, a senior from Wood River , Ill. (East Alton-Wood River HS), led the Panthers in hitting (.341), hits (45), doubles (12), home runs (2), runs scored (29) and slugging percentage (.477) in starting all 45 games. She finished second in at bats (132), walks (14) and third in runs batted in (14).
   
The Panthers completed the 2009 season with a 15-30 record.
