Kentucky Wesleyan College for the second straight season finished in the Top 15 in Division II basketball attendance by averaging a 12th-best 2,195 fans per game as released by the
NCAA.
The Panthers total home attendance were fourth overall with 41,700 in 19 games. KWC was 13th in average attendance and seventh in total attendance in 2008-09.
Leading Division II was Northern State (SD) with 3,414 per contest and St. Cloud State in total numbers with 56,574.
The
Great Lakes Valley Conference, which KWC is a chartered member, finished fifth in attendance for Division II conferences with an average of 967 per game, up from sixth in 2009. The top conference was the Mid-America Intercollegiate with 1,691.
The national average for a Division II game (274 members) in 2010 was 759. The NCAA began reporting basketball attendance figures in 1977.
