Panthers fall in OT to Miners Box Score Missed defensive stops in the fourth period and a field-goal try that hit the right upright in overtime cost the Kentucky Wesleyan College football team on Saturday. The Panthers, trying to get their first win in six games against Missouri S&T, led heading into the fourth period. But the Miners scored 21 points in a wild fourth quarter to force OT and came away with a 38-35 win in a Great Lakes Conference game in Rolla, Mo. KWC (3-4, 0-2 GLC) gave up two touchdowns inside the final three minutes of regulation. S&T's Mark Hopkins returned a punt 76 yards for a score with 2:43 left, then a Panther fumble near midfield on their ensuing possession set up the tying TD -- a Steve Wilson pass to Kevin Dillon from 23 yards out with 33 seconds remaining. Wesleyan had first possession in overtime and moved the ball down to the Miners' 5-yard line. An incomplete pass set up a short field-goal attempt from Matt Wilson which hit the right upright. S&T then moved the ball deep into KWC territory on its possession, and Joe Drahos' chip-shot field goal ended the game.
