Kentucky Wesleyan defeated host Maryville 2-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Friday afternoon in St. Louis.

Nora Karvonen scored the Panthers first goal at the 16:37 mark from an assist from Kristen Chinn. Brittany Setters followed with what would be the game-winning goal five minutes later (21:10) unassisted.

Goalie Alanna Miller collected five saves.  Saints outshot KWC seven to five.

The Panthers (7-8-1, 4-4-0) go across town to face Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at 2:30.
